On the morning of May 22, the ceremony for the appointment of strategic development advisors and the signing of a university–local cooperation agreement between Lanxiang Environmental and Xi’an Jiaotong University was held at Shandong Lanxiang Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. Attending the event were Professor Cheng Guangxu, doctoral supervisor at the School of Chemical Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University; Director Wu Mengqiu of the Admissions Office; Professor Hu Haijun of the School of Chemical Engineering; Liu Guanying, Member of the Standing Committee of the Anqiu Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department; Comrade Yang Fusheng, Vice Mayor in charge of science and technology of Anqiu City; Liu Yuhai, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Science and Technology Bureau; and Li Xiangchun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the New’an Subdistrict Office. Also present were Xu Qinghua, Chairman of Lanxiang Environmental, and Zhang Qiang, Deputy General Manager.
Since 2018, Lanxiang Environmental has been collaborating with Xi’an Jiaotong University. In 2019, the two parties jointly established the “Research Center for Energy‑Efficient Utilization Technologies and Equipment,” undertaking collaborative research to address critical, high‑priority technological challenges urgently needed by the company. The company has already initiated several R&D projects with Professor Cheng, which are currently progressing smoothly according to schedule. As a strategic development advisor stationed at Lanxiang Environmental, Professor Cheng will further strengthen the partnership through technological research and the commercialization of scientific findings, helping Lanxiang achieve faster and more sustainable growth.
Professor Cheng Guangxu emphasized that Anqiu City’s favorable business environment and Lanxiang Environmental’s strong corporate capabilities were key factors in his decision to serve as a strategic development advisor to the company. In recent years, Lanxiang Environmental has engaged in university–enterprise collaborations, which have been of great significance for advancing technological leadership, upgrading industrial structures, and shaping strategic positioning, while also making substantial contributions to national energy conservation and carbon reduction efforts. He expressed hope that Lanxiang Environmental will leverage its technological strengths to achieve its development goals on schedule, and urged the company to continue strengthening its efforts to promote sustainable corporate development and implement the nation’s dual‑carbon strategy. Furthermore, he encouraged the company to expand its partnerships with both domestic and international universities on a broader platform, thereby realizing sustained, leapfrog‑style growth.
Comrade Liu Guanying, Member of the Standing Committee of the Anqiu Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department, pointed out that the appointment of Professor Cheng as a Strategic Development Advisor has deepened substantive cooperation between the two sides. He expressed his sincere hope that Professor Cheng will leverage his academic and technological strengths to engage in exchanges and collaborations with Lanxiang Environmental across more fields and at a deeper level—undertaking high‑level research initiatives, establishing top‑tier platforms, and attracting and cultivating leading talent—to accelerate the transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. He also urged Lanxiang Environmental to seize this valuable opportunity, capitalize on external support to scale new heights and harness favorable momentum for development, further intensify its R&D efforts, proactively develop new products, adopt innovative business models, integrate into emerging industries, and continuously strengthen its position as an industry leader.
