Operating Principle
The process medium first flows through the new type finned air cooling tower, where it carries out indirect heat exchange with the air by the tube walls and fins. The heat is then exhausted into the atmosphere by the fan, achieving the first-stage cooling of the process medium. Subsequently, the medium flows into the wet cooling tower, where the heat is transferred through the evaporation of the water film on the outer surface of the bare tubes and then is exhausted into the atmosphere by the fan, reducing the temperature of the process medium to the required process temperature.
After absorbing heat, the spray water carries out the counterflow heat exchange with the dry cold air during circulation. After falling into the bottom basin, the spray water is continuously recirculated by the spray pump. The spray water lost in the heat exchange process is automatically supplied by the make-up water system. When the ambient temperature is below the setting temperature, the spray pump is stopped according to the process conditions, and the process requirement would be satisfied only by air cooling.
