Operating Principle
The main difference between closed cooling towers and open cooling towers is whether the cooled medium contacts with the air.
For the closed-circuit cooling tower, the circulating cooling water does not come into direct contact with the ambient air. The heat is transferred from the circulating water to the spray water through the evaporative heat-exchange tube bundles. The temperature of the circulating water inside the tube bundles is reduced by the evaporation of the spray water and the sensible heat transfer of the air, thereby achieving the purpose of closed-circuit cooling and heat exchange of the circulating water.
