Operating Principle
For mechanical draft cross-flow cooling towers, fans draw ambient air to make vertical cross-contact with cooling water inside fills. The countercurrent evaporative heat exchange occurs between air and water, transferring heat from circulating water into the atmosphere to achieve cooling of the circulating water.
