University–Enterprise Collaboration Ushers in a New Chapter, Driving Innovative Development for a Win-Win Future

On August 17, the signing ceremony for the “Industrial Water‑Saving and Energy‑Saving Technology Engineering Research Center of the National Western Energy Research Institute,” a joint venture between Xi’an Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Environmental, was successfully held at Lanxiang Environmental. Attending the event were Bi Chaohong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Executive Vice President of Xi’an Jiaotong University; Professor Cheng Guangxu of the School of Chemical Engineering; Shao Jinyou, Executive Deputy Director of the Research Institute; Yang Guidong, Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering; Chen Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Special Projects Division of the Research Institute; Jia Qinqing, Secretary of the Anqiu Municipal Party Committee; Yang Fusheng, Vice Mayor of Anqiu in charge of science and technology; Zhou Xiquan, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xin’an Subdistrict; Hui Shoulei, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Anqiu Municipal Party Committee; Liu Jiangwei, Director of the Weifang Branch of the National Technology Transfer Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University; Xu Qinghua, Chairman of Shandong Lanxiang Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Qiang, Deputy General Manager of the company.
In her address, Bi Chaohong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Executive Vice President of Xi’an Jiaotong University, highlighted that Xi’an Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Environmental enjoy a solid foundation of cooperation. Through the joint efforts of both sides, they have achieved a series of significant results. Lanxiang Environmental has experienced rapid growth in innovation and breakthroughs, with substantial advancements in both its industrial capabilities and technological expertise. She expressed confidence that, in future collaborations, more cutting-edge research findings will be successfully translated into practical applications, ushering in a new chapter of high-quality university–enterprise partnerships.
In his address, Jia Qinqing, Secretary of the Anqiu Municipal Party Committee, stated that the official unveiling of the “National Western Energy Research Institute Industrial Water‑Saving and Energy‑Saving Technology Engineering Research Center” jointly established by Xi’an Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Environment represents another significant achievement in our city’s efforts to attract talent and expertise. This milestone marks a new phase of deeper, higher‑level cooperation among all parties involved. He expressed his sincere hope that both sides will leverage their respective strengths, seize this valuable opportunity for collaboration, and, drawing on the “industry‑university‑research” platform, continuously integrate resources and develop innovative technologies. By doing so, they can effectively elevate the company’s R&D capabilities and enhance the technological content of its products, thereby making an even greater contribution to the development of Anqiu’s environmental protection industry.
Xu Qinghua, Chairman of Lanxiang Environmental, stated that since 2018, Lanxiang Environmental has been collaborating with Xi’an Jiaotong University. This university–enterprise partnership has provided significant momentum for Lanxiang to establish itself as a leading brand in the environmental protection sector, effectively driving the company’s high-quality development.
The successful establishment of the Industrial Water‑Saving and Energy‑Efficiency Technology Engineering Research Center at the National Western Energy Research Institute has further deepened the exchange and cooperation between Xi’an Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Environmental.
