Lanxiang Environment has been designated as the secretariat unit for the National Technical Committee for Water Conservation Standardization’s Working Group on Standardization of Circulating Cooling Water Systems.
On August 13, the inaugural meeting of the Standardization Working Group on Circulating Cooling Water Systems (SAC/TC442/WG1) of the National Technical Committee for Water Conservation Standardization was held in Beijing. Xing Liqiang, Director of the Institute of Resources and Environment at the Chinese Academy of Standardization, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Bai Xue, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Water Conservation Standardization, chaired the meeting. Wang Hongyan, Party Secretary and Director of the Market Supervision Administration of Anqiu City, also attended and delivered a welcoming address. Experts and scholars from universities and research institutes—including the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, the Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute, the Beijing Fiberglass Design Research Institute, Shandong University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Dalian University of Technology—participated in the meeting. Xu Qinghua, Chairman of Lanxiang Environment, and Zhang Qiang, Chief Engineer, attended the meeting.
The meeting read out the "Letter of Approval for the Establishment of the Standardization Working Group on Circulating Cooling Water Systems" issued by the National Technical Committee for Water Conservation Standardization, along with the list of committee members. It was announced that Shandong Lanxiang Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. would serve as the secretariat of the working group. Xu Qinghua, Chairman of Lanxiang Environment, was appointed as the Deputy Head of the working group, and Zhang Qiang, the company’s Chief Engineer, was appointed as the Secretary-General.
According to the plan, the first working group will complete the initiation and development of 13 international and national standards. As a specialized technical body approved by the National Standardization Administration Committee, the National Technical Committee for Water Conservation Standardization is responsible for standardization work in areas such as industrial, agricultural, urban domestic, and non-conventional water resource utilization across the country. The newly established working group will play a leading role in optimizing the standard system for circulating cooling water systems, promoting coordinated management through “metrology—standards—testing—certification,” accelerating research and development of green and smart information technologies, and conducting evaluations of standard implementation.
The secretariat of the working group has been established at Lanxiang Environment, marking a breakthrough—zero—of secretariats for national standards committees in Anqiu City. As a national single-champion enterprise in the water-saving and energy-saving industry, Lanxiang Environment has, through deep collaboration with universities and research institutes, developed and successfully implemented technologies such as water-saving and fog-removal systems, high-efficiency heat exchange, and waste-heat utilization, achieving their widespread application. Being designated as the secretariat undertaking unit signifies that the company has earned high recognition within the industry and also endows it with a new industry mission. Under the guidance of the committee and with the support of the Anqiu City Market Supervision Administration, Lanxiang Environment will diligently fulfill its secretariat duties, efficiently carry out the initiation and development of various national standards, and contribute Lanxiang’s strength to the standardization efforts in circulating cooling water systems.
