ASME is a comprehensive technical code for boilers and pressure vessels jointly issued by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ASME certification is recognized in more than 90 countries worldwide. The successful attainment of the ASME “U” stamp this time signifies that Lanxiang has acquired the qualifications to enter the international market, effectively securing a “pass” for the company’s expansion into global markets.
Entering the international market is a key strategic objective for the company, and obtaining ASME certification has become an essential prerequisite for expanding overseas. To this end, Lanxiang began planning and preparing for certification a year ago, establishing a dedicated task force, assigning specialized personnel to undergo comprehensive training, and updating its entire quality management system and operational standards in accordance with ASME requirements. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all departments, we submitted an application for a joint audit to ASME headquarters in August 2024.
On October 17, 2024, a joint review for ASME system certification was conducted at the company. Based on ASME codes and standards, the inspection team carried out a comprehensive and rigorous audit of the company’s establishment and implementation of its ASME‑compliant quality assurance system. The review placed particular emphasis on on‑site welding and nondestructive testing demonstrations for ASME‑designated products. Relevant documentation covering the ASME quality assurance system, quality control procedures, personnel training, qualification requirements, design documents, process specifications, material acceptance, equipment metrology management, nondestructive testing, welding consumables management, and quality inspection was thoroughly examined. The team also engaged in discussions with responsible personnel at each stage and witnessed the on‑site fabrication processes and welding demonstrations. During the inspection, the joint review panel offered valuable comments and recommendations regarding the company’s product design and manufacturing activities and agreed to submit a recommendation to the ASME Society for consideration of granting authorization.
The successful attainment of ASME certification marks a significant step forward in the company’s management system and quality standards, providing robust support for expanding into overseas markets, increasing its international market share, and enhancing product competitiveness.
